The NC Department of Administration is the business manager for North Carolina state government. The department oversees Government Operations such as building construction, purchasing and contracting for goods and services, maintaining facilities, managing state vehicles, acquiring and disposing of real property, and operating auxiliary services such as courier mail delivery and the sale of state and federal surplus property. Additionally, the department manages many of the state's advocacy programs that provide assistance and services to diverse segments of the state's population that have been traditionally underserved.

Job Duties: Design and pilot a dashboard or reporting framework that tracks progress toward the NCWorks Commission's eleven workforce development goals. The intern would research best practices from other states, identify key performance indicators (KPIs) for each goal, and propose a system for ongoing data collection and visualization.
Major Task to be Performed:
Final Product or Outcome Anticipated: The intern's work could lay the foundation for a long-term performance tool used by the Commission and its partners.
Academic Majors Desired: Business Administration, Economics, Human Resources Management, Mathematics, Public Policy, Statistics, Sociology
