Nursing Intern

Description

•  Observe and participate in staff meetings, regular meetings with Internship Supervisor. 
• Observe and learn from inpatient services and teams.
•  Complete a project related to updating training modules for staff.

•  Enrollment in an undergraduate program in an accredited university/college.
•  Ability to work with a wide range of kids and young adults with intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities as well as complex medical needs.
•  Must exercise confidentiality regarding the affairs of clients, staff, their families, and child.
•  Ability to interpret and follow applicable policies, procedures, and regulations.
•  Ability to communicate in English effectively for understanding, in writing and verbally.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs, be mobile within the assigned work area, and frequently bend, lift, reach, and stand. 

•  Monday-Friday, varied hours
• 120 hours total

 This is a non-paid opportunity. This role can be offered to those applicants seeking course credit and/or specific college internship requirements.
