At Senior Helpers of Monterey Park, we are dedicated to improving the quality of life for seniors and their families through compassionate in-home care. We are currently seeking a bilingual Office Intern who is organized, proactive, and interested in gaining hands-on experience in human resources, healthcare administration, and client services.
This internship offers the opportunity to learn the operational side of a growing home care agency while supporting our office team. Strong candidates may be considered for full-time employment as the business continues to expand.
Position Type: Part-Time Internship
Schedule: 15–20 hours per week, Monday–Friday
Compensation: Starting at $17/hour with potential increase to $20/hour
Work Environment: Hybrid (Office + Work From Home opportunities)
Location: Monterey Park, CA
Language Requirement: Mandarin or Cantonese preferred
Assist with employee on-boarding processes, including preparing documents and maintaining personnel files.
Help ensure employee records and compliance documents are accurate and up to date.
Support general administrative tasks including data entry, document organization, and office coordination.
Follow up with client referrals and service inquiries to gather initial information and route requests appropriately.
Assist with maintaining client records and internal tracking systems.
Provide bilingual communication support for Mandarin or Cantonese speaking clients and families when needed.
Assist with scheduling coordination and internal documentation.
Help maintain internal tracking spreadsheets and dashboards.
Support the office team with daily operational tasks and process improvement projects.
Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Mandarin or Cantonese speaking strongly preferred
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Comfortable communicating with clients and families in a professional manner
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, etc.)
Ability to learn new software systems quickly
Reliable, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment
