Job Description - On-Site Field Internship (Location Varies)

Position Overview: Our Taymar internship program recruits and develops high caliber students to get hands on experience for a career in ticket sales, operations, corporate sponsorship, and annual giving. Each intern receive support from our corporate staff, one on one with one of our field leaders, and bi-weekly trainings to provide value to their education while bolstering the sales efforts provided to the school. We work diligently with the athletics department at all of our partner schools to implement a program to increase our team’s impact on campus. Many of our interns are hired internally and many more go on to accept full-time roles in the sports industry upon graduation, including at Taymar.

Responsibilities:

Sell a full menu of ticket products for various sports and special events
Complete research/prospecting projects in a timely manner
Handle inbound traffic including walk-ups, calls, emails, etc.
Present & active during meetings and trainings
Deliver superior customer service to all current and future fans
Represent Taymar, athletics program, and University with the highest integrity
Other related duties as assigned by the General Manager or Director of Sales

Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate/graduate program or graduated with at least a bachelor's degree from a 4-year university or college (preferably majoring in a sports-related field)
Familiarity with college and/or professional sports in some capacity is required.
Strong work ethic, positive attitude and desire and ability to learn in a fast paced, highly competitive industry
Excellent communication skills
Willing to learn and grow as a professional

This position will be held on-site at various Taymar client properties. Taymar client properties include University of Kentucky, Louisiana State University, Georgia Southern University, The Citadel, Robert Morris University, Northern Illinois University, University of Connecticut, Samford University, University of Akron, University of North Alabama, Michigan State University, DePaul University, Furman University, Jacksonville State University, Wichita State University, Queen City Soccer Club, North Dakota Athletics, University of North Carolina at Greensboro, East Texas A&M University, the Allstate Sugar Bowl, Middle Tennessee State University, University of Central Missouri, Lexington Sporting Club, Western Kentucky University, University of Arkansas-Little Rock, Sacred Heart University, Coastal Carolina University, Drake University, the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl, Cal State Bakersfield, University of Texas at El Paso, and Austin Peay State University.

This position is unpaid but can be completed for college credit.
