The ICCT is looking for an Operations Intern to support the day-to-day functions of a mission-driven international nonprofit. This role will provide firsthand experience across office administration and human resources, two foundational pillars of a high-functioning global organization.

Office Administration
Create and maintain an organizational system for sorting and forwarding mail across ICCT's DC office and other global locations.
Support logistics for office events, including global office days and JEDI committee programming.
Assist with kitchen and office inventory, ordering supplies for in-office events.
Research vendors and assist with building maintenance projects, including identifying contractors for ad hoc facility needs.
Organize and catalogue the DC office IT closet.
Manage visitor registration for the SF office using the BluSky visitor management system.
Coordinate participant communications for the Offroad Symposium.
Post and manage the Staff Spotlight series in the ICCT Teams channel.
Human Resources
Support interview scheduling, coordinating calendars across candidates and interview panels.
Administer outgoing reference check requests for active candidates.
Draft onboarding orientation agendas and schedule first-week meetings for incoming staff.
Partner with the HR team on the monthly HR newsletter.
Assist with the creation of HR slides for All-Staff meetings.
Coordinate DC office Lunch & Learn spotlight presentations
You have...
Strong organizational and time management skills, with close attention to detail.
Comfort with administrative tools and platforms; experience with Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, Outlook) preferred.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and communicate proactively.
An interest in nonprofit operations, organizational culture, and/or HR functions.
Genuine enthusiasm for ICCT's mission in clean transportation and climate policy.
Are currently enrolled in a high school or bachelor’s degree program.
Our Benefits:
This is a part-time hybrid (16 hours per week) internship opportunity based in our Washington,
D.C. office for 12 weeks, with an hourly rate at $18. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
