Job Description - Packaging Design Intern

*This is a paid internship*

Summary
Supports the design team in creating, testing, and producing corrugated packaging while gaining hands-on experience in packaging design, specifications, and workflows.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Assist in designing corrugated packaging products under supervision.
Support spec creation and updates for customer items.
Learn and assist with testing processes, including stacking analysis and compression performance.
Help prepare cape layouts and workflow documentation.
Assist in ordering and tracking cutting dies.
Collaborate with design, sales, and production teams to support project execution.
Maintain organized documentation and design files.
Participate in training to develop knowledge of corrugated materials, design software, and industry standards.
Perform all other duties as assigned

Education & Experience

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or certificate in packaging, design, engineering, or a related field.

Required Skills / Abilities

Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
Basic problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
Effective communication and teamwork skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Basic computer skills; familiarity with design software is a plus
Positive attitude and eagerness to develop technical skills
