RIGHT NOW.\n\nJohn Deere is an equal opportunity employer, including disabled \u0026 veterans. \n\nPrimary Location: United States (US) - Iowa - Waterloo, IA \nFunction: Factory Engineering (CA) \nTitle: Part Time Student - Foundry Process Engineer - Waterloo, IA - 119062 \nOnsite/Remote:Onsite Position\n\nNote: Relocation assistance is not provided.\n\nThe Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company\u2019s regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule YEAR-ROUND.\n\n## Your Responsibilities\n\nAs a Foundry Process Engineer Part Time Student for Waterloo Works located in Waterloo, IA, you will:\n\n * Manage Sand lab inventory, equipment repair and certification\n * Participate in developmental assignments to gain Foundry experience.\n * Learn how to identify, analyze and apply information to support issue resolution.\n * Develop tools to aid in data analysis and collection.\n * Perform activities according to project plans and schedule. \n\n\n\nThis position NOT available to students on immigration visas\n\n## What Skills You Need\n\n * Must be registered as a full-time student at an accredited college/university.\n * Ideally you will be pursuing a degree in Manufacturing Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, Data Analytics or Actuary/Statistics; others may apply. \n * Graduation date of May 2027 or later.\n * Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above.\n * Available to work during the academic year 16-20 hours/weekly.\n * Available to work during the summer semester 35-40 hours/weekly.\n * If local, comfortable working in a manufacturing environment \n\n\n\n## What Makes You Standout\n\n * Understanding of various functions within a cast iron foundry\n * Background in quality and process controls\n * Familiar with PowerBi and data analysis software\n * Good interpersonal and conflict resolution skills\n\n\n\nAt John Deere, you are empowered to create a career that will take you to where you want to go while working in an inclusive team environment.
