RIGHT NOW.\n\nJohn Deere is an equal opportunity employer, including disabled \u0026 veterans. \n\nPrimary Location: United States (US) - Tennessee - Greeneville \nFunction: Data and Analytics (CA) \nTitle: Part Time Student - Process Automation and Data Analytics - Greeneville, TN - 118992 \nOnsite/Remote:Onsite Position\n\nNote: Relocation assistance is not provided.\n\nThe Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company\u2019s regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule YEAR-ROUND.\n\n## Your Responsibilities\n\nAs a Part-Time Student in Factory Automation and Data Analytics, for JD Power Products, located in Greeneville, TN, you will assist our team with various projects focused on automation processes, data collection, analysis, and reporting. This position is an excellent chance to apply your academic knowledge in a practical setting, develop your skills, and gain valuable industry experience. Additionally, you will: \n \n\\- Assist in the collection, analysis, and visualization of data related to factory operations and automation systems, and support the development and implementation of automation solutions to enhance efficiency and product quality. \n\\- Develop and maintain applications using Ignition by Inductive Automation and create/update dashboards and reports in Power BI for improved data visualization. \n\\- Write and optimize SQL queries for effective data management and retrieval, and support the integration and customization of MS SharePoint for collaboration and document management. \n\\- Collaborate with team members to understand project requirements, troubleshoot technical issues, and deliver high-quality solutions. \n\\- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of coding standards and practices. \n\\- Document findings and project progress for presentation to the team, ensuring clear communication of insights and recommendations. \n\\- Engage in team meetings to contribute ideas for process improvements and enhance overall team performance.\n\nThis position is not available to students on immigration visas\n\n## What Skills You Need\n\n\\- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). \n\\- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL. \n\\- Solid understanding of statistical analysis techniques and data modeling. \n\\- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex datasets. \n\\- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and concisely. \n\\- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and work independently to manage time and priorities efficiently.\n\n\\- Must be registered as a full-time student at a local accredited university\n\n\\- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor\u2019s, Master\u2019s, or PhD program in Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.\n\n\\- Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above\n\n\\- Available to work 16-20 hours/week during the academic year\n\n\\- Available to work 30-40 hours/week during the summer semester\n\n\\- Must be able to commute to the work location in Greenville, TN on a daily basis year-round\n\n\\- Graduation date of May 2027 or later\n\n## What Makes You Standout\n\n\\- Strong understanding of automation technologies and data analytics principles. \n\\- Previous internship or project experience in related fields is a plus.\n\nAt John Deere, you are empowered to create a career that will take you to where you want to go while working in an inclusive team environment.
