Job Description - Patient Care Tech - High School Student

1. Performs and documents patient care skills completely and efficiently as delegated by the nurse upon verification of PCT competence. 2. Makes appropriate notifications regarding abnormal findings. 3. Promptly answers calls, responds to the needs of patients, visitors and/or family members and relays information/requests to appropriate person(s). 4. Appropriately secures and handles supplies/medications/lab specimens transported into/within unit. 5. Assists with the location and management of patient property. At least 8th grade Attendance in Vocational or High School Age > 16 Required to work within the scope of State and Federal minor labor and wage and hour limitations. ▪ Current HealthCare provider or Professional Rescuer BLS/Responder certification required prior to completion of orientation. ▪ Current State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) Working Permits: Every minor 14 through 17 years of age must have a working permit unless otherwise stated in Chapter 4109.
