PERFORMING ARTS Summer 2026 Internship

• Assist in the planning, marketing, and execution of our 10-week outdoor concert series
• Assist in the planning and marketing for Wayside Days and fall performance residencies.
• Develop auxiliary programming/outreach opportunities for artists to work with the public before or after performances
• Collaborate with Arts Center staff, local/regional businesses, agents, and performers to book transportation, lodging, hospitality, etc.
• Provide general administrative support to the Public Programs team as needed

• A current undergraduate or graduate student (or recent graduate) in arts administration, performing arts (dance, music, theatre), communications, or a related field
• Able to communicate effectively and comfortably with many constituencies, including: coworkers, Arts Center patrons, agents, and performing artists.
• A strong written and verbal communicator; organized and adaptable
• Experienced providing excellent customer service, particularly in a fast-paced environment
• Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• You have had some prior experience and interest in event promotion, logistics, and/or planning in the performing arts.  (Preferred)

• Behind-the-scenes experience in the execution of a multi-date concert series
• Experience working with agents, talent, and corporate event sponsors
• Mentorship from experienced performing arts programmers and the groundwork for building a network of peers in the arts/arts administration community
• Insight into how cultural institutions engage diverse communities with regional and national visiting artists
