Pre-Apprenticeship Early Childhood Education

Are you a high school student (ages 16-18) passionate about working with young children and interested in a career in early childhood education? Sunshine Schools is excited to offer a unique Pre-Apprenticeship Program that provides hands-on experience and mentorship in a supportive, engaging environment.

Position Overview:

As a Pre-Apprentice, you will gain real-life experience working with young children while building valuable skills for a career in early childhood education. Responsibilities include:

• Supervising and engaging young children in activities
• Assisting in leading play and learning activities
• Helping to maintain a clean and safe environment at the end of each day

What You’ll Learn:

• Foundational skills in child development and early childhood education
• Professionalism, teamwork, and responsibility in a childcare setting

Candidate Requirements:

• Availability: After school hours up to 6:30 PM and breaks during the school day when applicable
• Background Check: Must complete a background check
• Physical Ability: Must be physically able to work with children
• Maturity and Responsibility: Able to take direction and work independently with guidance
