Title: P&E Support Intern

Reports To: Sr. Manager, IT

Department: Product & Engineering - Information Technology

Location: Cincinnati, OH

Position Status: Hourly Non-Exempt

Job Summary:

The P&E Support Intern will be working on various hardware and software projects for both our home office and field teams. You will be troubleshooting and solving any problems that arise with our network, phones, and cell phones. You will document and report service needs while working with the Help Desk Manager and Team to rectify an issue.

 

What You'll Do:

  • Provide triage and subsequent resolution of all Help Desk tickets.
  • Identify and track frequent problems, trends, and patterns requiring Help Desk assistance and working with IT staff to discover core causes.
  • Perform setup, configuration, and deploy personal computers and workstations (desktops, laptops, phones, printers, etc).
  • Serve as liaison between IT staff and end-users regarding status of problems.
  • Provide technology training and support.

 

What You Need:

  • A STRONG work ethic and can-do attitude.
  • Experience with networking, troubleshooting, ticketing systems, and anti-virus software is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of Citrix, Microsoft Windows, and iOS preferred.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively present to internal audiences.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, with strong Excel skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments, work independently, and take initiative on assigned projects.
  • Strong sense of urgency and responsiveness.
  • Can work effectively with a team.
  • Ability to manage the stress of a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to meet the in-person requirements of the team and/or business needs.
