Project Controls Intern - Summer 2027

Job Summary:
Ready to see how planning, data, and organization help keep major projects moving? As a Project Controls Intern at Centrus Energy, you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting projects at our American Centrifuge Plant (ACP) in Piketon, Ohio. Working alongside experienced project controls and project management professionals, you’ll learn how teams use schedules, budgets, performance data, and project information to monitor progress and support successful project delivery. This internship offers practical experience that can launch a future career in project controls, project management, engineering, or business operations.

 

What You Will Do:
Step into the world of project controls and help teams understand where projects stand and where they’re headed. As a Project Controls Intern, you’ll assist with maintaining project schedules, tracking costs and commitments, monitoring milestones and deliverables, and organizing project data and reports. You’ll support project teams by identifying variances, maintaining action and issue logs, and helping prepare updates and presentations for stakeholders. Along the way, you’ll work with project managers, engineering, finance, and other teams to see how data and disciplined planning help keep complex projects on track.

 

We’d Love to Hear from People With:

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a bachelor’s or graduate program in engineering, business, project management, construction management, finance, operations management, or a related field


• Strong organizational and analytical skills with an interest in working with data


• Interest in project controls, project management, planning, or process improvement


• Effective written and verbal communication skills


• U.S. citizenship
  
   

A Successful Candidate Brings:

• Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for analysis and reporting


• Completion of at least two years of college-level coursework in a technical field
  
   

Pay:

Estimated Starting Base Salary Range: $23-$25/hr. Centrus considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.

In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.

This position will require a pre-employment background check and a pre-employment drug test and vetting to ensure Centrus Energy can meet the requirements of 10 CFR Parts 810 and 1017 to grant access to export-controlled information and Unclassified Controlled Nuclear Information, respectively.  Such access is required for the performance of this position.
