Position Summary:
Discovery is seeking a motivated intern to join our Quality Assurance team for the upcoming summer semester. This role will provide hands-on experience by assisting in the development and maintenance of the company’s Quality Management System supporting advanced analytical technology areas (e.g. biospecimens, cell services, histology, etc.).
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in life sciences preferred or other related fields such as legal may be considered
Interest in quality assurance in the biotechnology industry
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to conduct research and interpret complex concepts
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
Support a variety of Quality Assurance (QA) activities, projects, and initiatives, including process improvement and harmonization, and audit prep
Participates in supplier qualification activities, including follow-ups, downloading certificates, etc.
General administrative activities such as scanning and filing of relevant QA documents
Maintain databases for supplier data
Compile periodic quality metrics
Provides support for members of the QA team at various sites

Compensation and Benefits:
This is a “for credit” internship. The selected candidate will not be entitled to compensation, benefits, or paid time off.
Location and work hours:
Onsite in Huntsville, AL
Part-time – Monday - Friday - 6 to 20 hours per week during the Summer 2026 semester
