What You’ll Do
This role focuses on providing supervised outpatient psychotherapy services, supporting individualized treatment planning, maintaining clinical documentation standards, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary behavioral health team to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care.
- Clinical Assessment and Treatment Support: Assist with clinical assessments, gather relevant patient information, identify treatment needs, and support the development of individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed mental health professional.
- Clinical Documentation and Compliance: Complete timely, accurate, and comprehensive clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment updates, and required clinical records while maintaining compliance with HIPAA requirements, professional standards, organizational policies, and applicable regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborative Care Coordination: Collaborate with licensed clinicians, psychiatrists, psychiatric providers, and multidisciplinary team members to support coordinated care, continuity of treatment, and positive patient outcomes.
- Evidence-Based Therapeutic Practices: Apply foundational knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and other clinically appropriate interventions under clinical supervision.
- Patient Engagement and Therapeutic Support: Establish therapeutic rapport with patients by providing compassionate support, active listening, emotional guidance, and a safe environment for individuals navigating mental health challenges.
- Professional Development and Clinical Supervision: Participate in individual and group supervision, clinical meetings, case consultations, trainings, and professional development opportunities to strengthen clinical competency and support progression toward independent licensure.
- Psychotherapy Services: Provide individual psychotherapy services to adult patients experiencing behavioral health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma-related conditions, mood disorders, stress-related challenges, and life transitions through in-person and/or telehealth appointments under appropriate supervision.
- Quality Improvement and Organizational Support: Contribute to the continued improvement of behavioral health services by providing clinical feedback, supporting workflow enhancements, and promoting a culture focused on quality care, patient experience, and continuous learning.
- Regulatory and Ethical Standards: Maintain compliance with Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, and Mental Health Counseling requirements, ethical guidelines, supervision requirements, and organizational expectations while delivering responsible and professional mental health services.

What You’ll Bring
- Active Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (RMHCI) registration with the Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, and Mental Health Counseling required
- Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling, Counseling, Psychology, or related clinical field required
- Completion of required graduate coursework and clinical internship requirements for registered intern status
- Experience providing counseling services through graduate training, internship, or supervised clinical experience preferred
- Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic approaches and clinical treatment practices
- Ability to complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to receive clinical supervision, apply feedback, and continue developing clinical competencies
- Ability to manage assigned patient caseload responsibilities while maintaining quality patient care standards
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred
- Commitment to ethical, compassionate, and patient-centered mental health care
- Experience working in outpatient behavioral health, psychiatry, interventional psychiatry, or clinical research environments is a plus
