Apprentices will gain foundational skills supporting either semiconductor equipment handling or Facilities systems, based on business need, proficiency, and progression.\n\nThis earn and learn program is developed to align with your academic schedule while providing real\u2011world experience maintaining, fixing, and improving critical manufacturing and infrastructure systems.\n\nProgram Scope\n\nRegistered Technician Apprentices could be assigned to:\n\n * Fab Equipment Operations:\n * Supporting semiconductor production tools used in wafer manufacturing\n\n\n * Facilities \u0026 Infrastructure Systems:\n * Supporting HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and facility control systems critical to fab operations\n\n\n\nFinal pathway placement may depend on operational demand, apprentice performance, and shown interest.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Adhere to all registered apprenticeship guidelines, program requirements, and instructions from the program lead\n * Complete required safety training and perform all work in strict accordance with safety policies\n * Demonstrate strong safety culture through audits, hazard identification, and \u201cgood catch\u201d reporting\n * Partner with Production, Shift Technicians, Engineers, and Facilities teams to support daily priorities\n * Monitor system or tool performance and respond appropriately to alarms, faults, or abnormal conditions\n * Assist with scheduled preventative maintenance on assigned equipment or systems\n * Identify and fix basic to intermediate mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or software\u2011related issues\n * Accurately document work performed, tool or system status, and maintenance actions\n * Follow established procedures while developing the capacity to operate with growing independence\n * Contribute to continuous improvement, reliability, and problem\u2011solving initiatives\n * Work in cleanroom, industrial, and electro\u2011static discharge (ESD) sensitive environments\n * Use computers and user documentation tools to support maintenance and reporting activities\n\n\n\nDepending on assignment, apprentices may be exposed to:\n\nFab Equipment Examples:\n\nDiffusion / Implant, PCVD, Wet Chemical Processing, Dry Etch / Plasma, CMP, Photolithography, Fab Support tools\n\nFacilities Systems Examples:\n\nHVAC systems, facility instrumentation and controls, electrical and mechanical infrastructure, pneumatic systems, building automation systems, monitoring and alarm interfaces\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\n * Coursework or hands\u2011on exposure to electronics, electricity, HVAC, instrumentation, mechatronics, or industrial systems\n * Basic understanding of AC/DC electrical fundamentals\n * Exposure to manufacturing, maintenance, military technical training, or lab environments\n * Familiarity with reading schematics, drawings, or technical manuals\n * Interest in semiconductor manufacturing or critical infrastructure systems\n\n\n\nWhat Micron Offers\n\n * Paid Registered Apprenticeship with structured wage progression\n * Tuition support for approved technical education programs\n * Hands\u2011on training with sophisticated manufacturing and facilities systems\n * Mentorship from expert Technicians and Engineers\n * Multiple long\u2011term career pathways: Fab Equipment Technician or Facilities Technician (HVAC, Controls, Instrumentation)\n * A strong safety\u2011first culture and inclusive team environment\n\n\n\nJob Profile(s):\n\nEquipment Technician Apprentice 1 - Equipment Technician Apprentice 2\n\nRelocation Level: TBD\n\nBefore Getting Started \nPlease review Micron\u2019s Internal Job Application Policy on your regional PeopleNow Career Opportunities page before searching and applying for jobs.
