You will gain hands-on experience in malware detection, threat investigation, forensic analysis, and reporting while learning how threats move through the modern digital advertising ecosystem.

This role is a great opportunity for candidates who want to build real-world experience in cybersecurity, malware research, security operations, and digital trust and safety.

What We Can Offer You

  • Help identify tactics, techniques, and procedures used in malicious campaigns

  • Review scan results, HAR files, screenshots, and other evidence related to malware detections

  • Assist in documenting findings and preparing internal investigation notes

  • Help create reports summarizing malicious behavior, indicators, and campaign characteristics

  • Research domains, URLs, IPs, scripts, and other indicators related to suspicious activity

  • Work with analysts to improve malware detection, signatures, and investigation workflows

  • Learn how programmatic advertising, third-party code, and digital supply chains can be abused by threat actors

  • Communicate findings clearly to internal teams

Qualifications

Ideal candidates should have:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Security, Computer Information Systems, or a related IT field

  • Basic understanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

  • Basic knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, malware, phishing, web threats, or threat intelligence

  • Interest in static and dynamic analysis of suspicious code or web activity

  • Familiarity with at least one programming or scripting language such as JavaScript, Python, Java, C, C++, or Ruby

  • Ability to research technical topics and document findings clearly

  • Strong attention to detail and curiosity about how attacks work

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively with a remote team

  • Willingness to learn new tools, techniques, and security concepts

Applicants selected may be subject to a background check.

Preferred Qualifications

The following are helpful but not required:

  • Coursework, labs, certifications, or projects related to cybersecurity, malware analysis, SOC operations, or digital forensics

  • Basic understanding of JavaScript obfuscation or ability to read unfamiliar code

  • Experience using browser developer tools, proxies, sandboxes, or forensic tools

  • Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows, Linux, macOS, iOS, or Android

  • Experience writing small automation scripts to support analysis or research

  • Interest in threat research, malware write-ups, or security presentations
