Intern-King General Contractors-Pre-cast construction

This student internship is being offered as a part of EO's Ignite Internships program and is for high school students only.

This internship is offered in partnership with King General Contractors. Students will be employed by King General

Contractors and all hiring decisions will be made by King General Contractors personnel. King General Contractors is

seeking to hire one (1) high school student in this area and has provided the following job description for this internship:

• Producing pre-cast concrete products using raw materials. Learn to mix, batch, and pour concrete into pre-prepared molds to ensure final products are strong and meet aesthetic guidelines.


• Using a skid loader to add cement and stone into concrete hoppers (batch plant).


• Batch concrete and move it from the hopper to the mixing truck. Use the truck to mix the concrete (to specs). Prepare the molds to receive concrete. Fill the molds, reduce waste/excess. Prepare the truck for the next batch while the concrete in the molds is curing. After curing, release the molds and extract the finished product (Redi-Rock block). Inventory the block by size and shape. Stack the block (forklift) in the proper location. Prepare the molds for the next batch.
