Research Analyst (Temporary Position, June - August 2026)

Position Summary:

• Assists or shares primary responsibility with Research Scientists for development and refinement of all research methods used in research and evaluation projects, including all data collection procedures; computerization of data; data management; and data analysis. 
• Primary responsibility for executing all data management and data collection tasks under the supervision of a Research Scientist. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Proposal writing
• Subject recruitment and consent
• Development, refinement, and execution of all data collection protocols
• Oversee and assist with data collection
• Assist with project oversight and dissemination of findings
• Oversee and assist with literature review 

Other Functions and Responsibilities:

• Project coordination 
• May be required to complete basic administrative tasks (e.g., scheduling meetings, ordering supplies, coordinating team activities.)

Qualifications:

A. Specific knowledge, training or skills required to perform the duties of this position including specific courses, training programs or required certifications. 

• Master’s degree in psychology, sociology, gerontology or related field
• Excellent skills in basic research methods
• Proficient in data collection procedures
• Proficient in database management and statistical analysis software such as SPSS
• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with technical writing skills

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, keyboard and telephone
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work
• Light to moderate lifting is required, up to 25 pounds occasionally 
• Ability to uphold the stress of traveling
• Regular, predictable attendance is required
• Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone, and printers, light traffic)
• Ability to work in a confined area
• Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time
• Work environment is stressful at times
