Job Description - Research Trainee

This training program in health outcomes research will introduce the trainee to projects that are related to improving the care of patients with genitourinary oncological malignancies. Specifically, the trainee will participate in analyzing clinical information from electronic medical records as part of the #25-159 protocol, which is looking to identify time spent by patients receiving cancer care. Additional educational activities for the trainee include weekly check ins on the project status, participation in educational meetings as part of the Lank Center for Genitourinary Oncology, and presentation of his research findings within our group as well as in oncology conferences nationally.

-Develop the ability to extract clinical information from medical records and link it to real time location services data

- Perform statistical analyses using software to obtain summary statistics and investigate associations between covariates and study outcomes

- Ability to succinctly summarize data in the form of a medical abstract and/or journal article
