Job Description - Risk Management Intern

We are looking for a Risk Management Intern to join the KPRS team. This internship provides hands-on experience by assisting with administrative tasks and document tracking to support our company’s risk management efforts. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated student looking to develop their risk management skills in a professional setting.

About the Role:
As a Risk Management Intern, you'll work closely with risk management professionals to help ensure that contracts, insurance documentation, and risk-related processes are accurately maintained and tracked. If you are detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to gain exposure to real-world risk management practices—this internship is for you!

Key Responsibilities:

Organize and monitor contracts, insurance documents, and other risk-related materials
Help maintain logs for deadlines, contract drafts, renewals, and compliance tasks
Assist with subcontractor prequalification, coordination across company divisions, and claims tracking
Support document reviews and incident reporting
Participate in meetings and audits

What You Bring:

Experience: Upcoming bachelor’s degree in Business, Legal Studies, Construction Management, or a related field
Systems Knowledge: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Adobe/Bluebeam is a plus
Skills: Strong organization and time management. Accuracy in data entry and record keeping. Basic understanding of contracts or legal/business documents
Attributes: Dedicated, resourceful, articulate, curious, reliable, organized, and punctual

Position:

Reports to Risk Manager or Senior Vice President

Physical Requirements:

Desk and computer-based work
Lift up to 15 pounds at a time
Occasional travel to projects and satellite offices
