Job Summary:
As a Rooms Intern at Gurney’s Resorts in Montauk, NY, you’ll gain immersive, hands-on experience in both Front Office and Housekeeping operations. This role allows you to engage in guest-facing services, room quality control, and strategic operations—all under the mentorship of seasoned hospitality professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

Front Office/Guest Services

• Welcome guests warmly and assist with check-in/check-out procedures.


• Answer inquiries about services, amenities, and local recommendations.


• Handle guest requests promptly—both face-to-face and via phone—maintaining high satisfaction levels.


• Resolve guest complaints effectively, seeking opportunities to personalize experiences and exceed expectations.

Housekeeping/Rooms Operations

• Conduct inspections of guest rooms and ensure they meet resort standards for cleanliness and presentation.


• Help organize cleaning schedules in response to occupancy patterns.


• Assist with logistics of housekeeping operations, including quality control and coordination with staff.

Qualifications:

• Current college or university student pursuing hospitality, hotel/restaurant management, or a related field.


• Strong attention to detail, adaptability, and ability to thrive under pressure.


• Friendly, outgoing personality with polished interpersonal and communication skills.


• Eager to learn.


• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, typical in hospitality.

Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• $22.00-$22.00 per hour
