Sales Intern (Summer 2025)

Description

Henry Poor Lumber is seeking an ambitious student for a summer internship.  Our Sales Internship will provide a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in sales operations while learning about our product lines and industry. The ideal candidate is a team player with a passion for sales and customer service. 

Key Responsibilities:

Sales

Learn about our product offerings, including their uses, pricing, and market trends. 

Assist with the sales transaction process. 

Help to maintain stock, displays, and housekeeping for assigned areas. 

Comply with company policies and procedures

Assist with special projects as assigned. 

Customer Service

Answer telephone inquiries pleasantly, promptly, and professionally. 

Provide quality service to all customers. 

Listen to customer complaints and work to find effective solutions. 

Promote team concept. 

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Selling and Sales Management, Retail Management, Interior Design, or a related field.
•  Ambitious and motivated to learn and grow in a sales environment. 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
