Job Title: Sample Management Intern 

Location: South San Francisco, CA (local candidates only) 

Reports to: Gene Therapy Associate Director - Analytics 

Full/Part-Time: 2 to 3 Months (summer) 

Regular/Temporary: Temporary

What you will learn:

• Gain understanding of sample management processes, including barcoding, inventory, container printing, sampling handling, and proper sample storage. 

• Develop creative solutions to streamline the sample management workflow. 

Job Duties:

• Receive and maintain accurate inventory of samples in ELN (Benchling). 

• Optimize container printing workflow and provide labeled containers to downstream team members. 

• Develop and implement automated methods for tracking samples as they move through sample management process. 

• Basic laboratory organizational skills 

• Improving collaboration skills by working with a close-knit group of researchers 

• Experience working in a biotech environment. 

Qualifications:

• Actively pursuing a science related bachelor's degree. 

Compensation: The hourly rate for this position is $27.00/hr USD (pursuing bachelor’s degree).
