Seeking Graphic/Web Design Intern!

Seeking enthusiastic, organized and resourceful Graphic/Web Design Intern to help build new online wellness portal using online platforms, pdf downloads, ebooks and email marketing mediums. We are a team of health coaches launching a cleanse program and online platform to sell our offerings.

THIS IS AN UNPAID 6 MONTH INTERNSHIP WITH OPPORTUNITY TO TURN INTO CONTRACT POSITION.

The ideal candidate should have experience designing and building amazing user experiences utilizing online software platforms. 

You should have a good understanding of how to design and build an online portal. This role is very hands-on and requires someone who is comfortable taking the lead to do things on their own.  You will have the autonomy to work on your own time and terms so collaboration and communication with our team is crucial for this role.  This is a great opportunity for individuals that want to build their resume in the fields of marketing and advertising with a focus in online graphic and web design.

Schedule: 6-month term internship, start date is as soon as possible. It will be 10 to 15 hours a week and is unpaid with the opportunity to turn into a contract position.

Responsibilities/Duties include: 

-Work with us to create compelling visual design for website, media platforms, newsletters, blog, ebooks, handouts and website

-Execute all visual design stages from concept to final launch

-Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks

-Map out user/process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas

-Help establish and promote brand guidelines, best practices and standards 

Qualifications of the ideal candidate: 

-Experience as a web and graphic designer 

-Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator or other visual design and wire-framing tools

Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction

-Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively

-Up-to-date with the latest Web trends, techniques and technologies

-Strong verbal and written communication skills

-Loves creating systems and is very organized

-A natural passion for fitness, nutrition, wellness and holistic health.

-Obtaining a degree in a web design, graphic arts, communications, public relations, advertising or related field or looking to gain additional experience in those fields.
