Position Summary:


The WSPH Office of Student Experience - Food Pantry Graduate Assistant will oversee WSPH food pantry operations including scheduling and preparing requests for food items, maintaining an inventory system, coordinating donations and initiatives, and facilitating timely communications with students, faculty, and staff.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Track and manage inventory including shopping for food, produce, and supplies online

  • Keep storage cabinet and refrigerators stocked and cleaned, update inventory in a central spreadsheet, and rotate old or expired food, produce, and supplies out of inventory.

  • Fulfill orders received through online form according to schedule

  • Facilitate communication with students, faculty and staff regarding food pantry.

  • Send routine communications in response to food pantry order requests.

  • Maintain confidentiality and anonymity of students that use the food pantry.



  • Facilitate food, supply and donation drives and fundraisers via Amazon Wishlist and in partnership with community organizations, student organizations, and WSPH.

  • Create social media, flyers, and announcements about the food pantry, and create relevant content for television monitor outside of food pantry including recipes that can be created with the food provided.

  • Create videos and/or Instagram Lives of recipe segments that showcases how to cook on a budget as a student using ingredients provided by food pantry.

  • Gather student feedback via survey or presentations to student groups to adapt food pantry to revolving student needs.



Physical Requirements:


  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time while working at a computer terminal

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time while maintaining food pantry or work a student event

  • Ability to frequently lift, bend, and perform repetitive motions such as stocking shelves.

  • Push a cart with files, food and/or event supplies weighing up to 20 lbs 



This position can start in August 2026.
