Student Application (Paideia)

Job Title: Student Custodian

Reports to: Student Cleaning Team Coordinator

Hours: 2-3 days per week, 3:30 pm - 5:30-5:45 pm  

Job Summary:
The student custodian will be responsible for providing cleaning services to ensure that the Paideia Academy classrooms, bathrooms and common areas have been well-maintained and cleaned prior to the end of each school day/shift. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a team commitment until all tasks have been completed each day. 

Areas of Responsibility:

• Daily trash removal from classrooms, common areas (to include the assembly room), kitchen and playground to outside dumpsters for disposal. 


• Sweeping, vacuuming and mopping all classrooms, bathrooms and common areas (including hallways and lobby/entryways of each building).


• Maintain bathrooms by cleaning all sinks, toilets and floors on a daily basis.


• Maintain and sweep stairwells and assembly room.


• Maintain and clean windows and door glass, including the lobby receptionist windows.


• Dusting ledges, cubbies and flat surfaces, as needed.


• Maintain inventory of janitorial supplies by stocking janitorial closets in each building, as needed.


• Monitor paper towels, toilet paper and soap dispensers daily and replace, as needed.


• Notify supervisor of noted low supplies for ordering purposes.
  


• Maintain the galley kitchen by removing trash, sweeping and mopping each day. 


• Follow attendance requirements and policies as indicated by the Student Cleaning Team Coordinator.


• Maintain responsible control of key fob and demonstrate appropriate use and access to school buildings.
