Job Title: Allegacy Student Assistant Intern

DESCRIPTION

Nature and Scope

The internship will consist of a part-time summer internship for high school and college students. Interns will work a flexible schedule, up to 25 hours per week, depending on the needs of the business. Through the internship, students will explore a variety of aspects of the financial services industry, and appreciation of the credit union difference. Interns will work to learn about Allegacy’s member experience, and how our departments work in tandem to meet the needs of our community, our members and our employees. Additionally, internships will focus on providing a platform for students to learn professional skills and expand their business acumen.

Specific Accountabilities

• Ensure thorough understanding of expectations and consistently exhibit Allegacy core behaviors of care, collaborate, grow, and serve.
• Learn about the mission side of credit unions, the principles of diversity and inclusion in credit union work, and how the mission and principles impact the diverse communities that credit unions serve and the overall employee experience.
• Desire to engage with various areas of the organization on a project basis.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Best suited to students interested in pursuing careers in financial services. Strong organization, time management, and communication skills are preferred. The successful candidate will have a command of Microsoft Office, an outgoing personality, and the ability to work independently.
