The opportunity

The Student Employee will support the Director of Entrepreneurship and Cooperative Business Initiatives in advancing programs that promote innovation, entrepreneurship, and cooperative business education across the University. This role is ideal for a motivated student with an interest in business development, marketing, event planning, and community engagement.

Primary Responsibilities

• Event Support:
  Assist with planning, organizing, and executing workshops, speaker events, and networking sessions related to entrepreneurship and cooperative business.
• Marketing and Communication:
  Help design and distribute promotional materials (digital and print) for upcoming events, including social media posts, flyers, and newsletters.
• Entrepreneur Mapping Project:
  Conduct research and maintain a database of current students and alumni who are entrepreneurs or involved in cooperative ventures.
• Community Engagement:
  Help identify and connect with student groups, local cooperatives, and alumni networks to strengthen participation in university initiatives.

Qualifications

• Current undergraduate or graduate student in good academic standing.
• Eligible for Federal Work Study funding.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and well-organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and/or Canva preferred.
• Interest in entrepreneurship, social enterprise, or cooperative business models is a plus.
