Overview

Job Summary: 
The Student Nutrition & Data Assistant provides temporary support to Yale Hospitality, with a primary focus on advancing the PFG (Performance Food Group) transition. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of recipe and product data within the Jamix system, including nutrition and allergen information, under the guidance of a Registered Dietitian. 

The assistant will review and validate recipes and stock cards, working closely with both retail and residential dining teams to confirm recipe accuracy. Accurate recipe data is essential to ensuring reliable nutrition and allergen labeling for guests. As part of the PFG transition, the assistant will also review incoming products, identify and flag inconsistencies, assess nutrition and allergen information, and help ensure that all products align with Yale Hospitality’s standards and values. 

This is a detail-oriented, project-based role that supports a critical operational transition and requires strong organizational skills and cross-team collaboration. 


Required Skills and Abilities

1. Attention to detail, ability to work independently and take initiative.

2. Able to navigate standard computer technologies and applications, including web browsers.  Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.

3. Able to multitask, prioritize, meet deadlines, and work effectively with competing deadlines.

4. Able to maintain strict confidentiality.
