Job Description Summary

·       The Support Technician assists in managing, enabling and supporting technology used by the faculty, staff and student's across the East Texas A&M - Commerce campus. From projectors and document cameras to Windows desktops and iMac workstations, we support a wide range of technology needs for classroom & teaching instruction.

A resume detailing relevant qualifications and experience must be submitted on Handshake to be considered for this position.

Skills

o   Knowledge of Windows OS (MAC a plus)

o   Knowledge of Zoom

o   Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

o   Knowledge of Outlook

o   Understand the basic functions of computer hardware

o   Good oral & communication skills

o   Discipline to document activities and findings

o   Ability to work independently when necessary

o   Able to troubleshoot basic issues and research when the issue is more complex

o   Knowledge of driver troubleshooting is a plus

o   A/V skill is a plus

Responsibilities

o   Assist with resolving tickets via remote or in person. This will include managing the front desk.

o   Will perform basic computer soft repair (Re-imaging, installing software, updating drivers, etc…)

o   Assist with machine setup, deployment & hardware troubleshooting.

o   Assist with creating & documenting processes & procedures including problem resolution articles.

o   Support software access and account creation for supported software/services.

o   Assist with basic AV troubleshooting.

o   Other relevant duties as assigned
