Key Components:

• In a student employee capacity, may assist in working with external community service partners.

Job Description:

Math tutors will help students in the academic subject of math. This includes primarily assisting students with homework. Tutors are required to attend periodic meetings and professional trainings that will equip them to be more effective. Tutors are responsible for completing detailed service logs for each student that they work with.

Duties and responsibilities
• Coordinate with the tutoring manager on scheduling, implementation, and evaluation of tutoring services
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with all students
• Establish and maintain positive working relationships with CIS staff
• Ensure the CIS program objectives are implemented as outlined contractually
• Maintain a working knowledge of CIS and district policies and procedures
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation
• Attend meetings, trainings and other required functions of CIS
• Other duties as assigned

Experience & Qualifications
• Enrolled in Baylor University and must be federal work study eligible.
• Strong communication skills.
• Excellent organizational, time management and computer proficiency.
• Well-groomed and professional appearance.
• Ability to function in diverse job situation.
• Ability to transport oneself to and from the work site.
• Must complete and clear Criminal Background Check.
• Spanish speaking a plus.
