Job Description:
The Marketing & Development Student Employee provides administrative and project support for the Mayborn Museum's marketing, membership, development, and fundraising initiatives. This position offers hands-on experience in nonprofit marketing, donor relations, fundraising campaigns, and museum communications. The graduate assistant will assist with campaign coordination, content management, donor stewardship, prospect research, event support, and marketing operations while collaborating with multiple museum departments.
Essential Responsibilities
Marketing & Communications
Assist with the execution of the museum's content cycle by preparing and maintaining content calendars for the website, print materials, digital signage, and other communication platforms.
Update website content and assist in maintaining consistent messaging across marketing channels.
Coordinate and refresh campaign signage, digital displays, donation stations, and other on-site promotional materials.
Monitor marketing campaign performance and prepare weekly dashboards and status reports.
Track campaign participation and engagement metrics and provide recommendations to improve outreach efforts.
Provide administrative support for marketing projects and promotional initiatives.
Development & Fundraising
Coordinate Director's Circle prospect research and assist in identifying potential leadership donors.
Conduct donor and prospect research to support fundraising strategies and campaign planning.
Maintain donor tracking spreadsheets and assist with CRM/database management to ensure accurate donor records.
Support development communications, stewardship activities, and donor engagement initiatives.
Assist with volunteer phone banking by coordinating schedules, preparing call lists, and developing outreach materials.
Conduct stewardship and prospect phone calls to support Director's Circle recruitment and donor engagement.
Support outreach efforts to Board of Advocates members, campaign ambassadors, and other key stakeholders.
Assist with planning and execution of development events, donor recognition activities, and fundraising initiatives.
Collaborate with the Marketing, Development, Membership, and Events teams to support the successful execution of the Mayborn Challenge campaign and other museum initiatives.
