Provides under the direction of a registered nurse, those aspects of patient care which have been previously learned/demonstrated in the nursing program in which enrolled. Provides a caring relationship that facilitates health and healing. Performs other duties as assigned. |

| • | Participates in the evaluation of expected outcomes and goals under the direction of the registered nurse. | |
| • | Administers treatments as ordered according to policy and procedures under the direction of the registered nurse. | |
| • | Administers medication as ordered according to policy and procedures under the direct supervision of the registered nurse. | |
| • | Reinforces the health/teaching/education of individuals and groups of patients under the direction of the registered nurse. | |
| • | Participates in activities to improve health care delivery under the direction of the registered nurse. | |
| • | Builds knowledge and experience base regarding clinical leadership. | |
| • | Supports lifelong learning. |
Specifications
Experience
Enrolled in an approved IHL apprenticeship nursing program preparing for RN licensure. Completion of Nurse Extern program. |
