We are currently looking for an Engineering, Maintenance Intern, at our Freeport, Texas office.\n\n.\n\nThe 2026 dsm-firmenich Summer Internship Program will run from June 1, 2026 to August 14, 2026.\n\nWorking Hours: Monday \u2013 Friday, 8:00am \u2013 5:00pm\n\nJoin our Manufacturing \u0026 Technology team in the Nutritional Products Business Group as an intern and gain invaluable professional experience. You will be assisting in estimation / design / engineering in conjunction with Project Engineers capital project implementation. This site formulates products to a higher value for sale to external customers globally. Enhance your skills and contribute to real projects that have visibility across Operations through a Summer internship. Come discover all we have to offer!\n\nYour Key Responsibilities:\n\n * Assist engineers to initiate, implement and follow-through for the successful completion of new processes or strengthening of existing processes.\n * Build data driven dashboards to collect KPI from different platforms to monitor performances\n * Provide support in interface between production and engineering functions related to ongoing processes and conditions to achieve maximum quality and output.\n * Collect data and analyze; generate sound and clear recommendations and conclusions.\n * Transfer of knowledge to manufacturing staff to aid in training efforts.\n * Support development of equipment and instrumentation systems to achieve improvements in productivity, yield and/or operating cost.\n * Develop and revise engineering and production documentation such as standard operating procedures and flow diagrams as needed.\n\n\n\nWe Bring:\n\nOpportunities for students to develop skills and expand their professional connections within a company where sustainability is not just a slogan but is at the core of our strategy and purpose. Together, we can learn from one another to drive progress and create a better future.\n\nYou Bring\n\n * Currently working on completion of a Bachelor\u2019s degree in chemical, mechanical, electrical engineering or related field. \n * Candidates must be available to work full-time on-site beginning on June 1, 2026 to August 14, 2026.\n * Must have excellent math, oral / written communication, interpersonal, trouble shooting, time management, and problem solving skills\n * Ability to learn/comprehend engineering documents, drawings, and technical data.\n * Must be a self-starter and able to work independently.\n * Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.\n\n\n\nThe hourly rate for this position is $23.00 - $26.00 per hour.
