We are currently looking for a Safety Specialist Intern, at our Freeport, Texas office.\n\n.\n\nThe 2026 dsm-firmenich Summer Internship Program will run from June 1, 2026 to August 14, 2026.\n\nWorking Hours: Monday \u2013 Friday, 8:00am \u2013 5:00pm\n\nAt dsm-firmenich, being a force for good is not optional. Equal access to opportunities is a given, belonging is a shared feeling, authenticity is celebrated.\n\nYour Key Responsibilities:\n\n * Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with regulatory and company requirements as well as industry best practices. \n * Design and deliver safety training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors including \u201ctrain the trainer\u201d sessions to promote awareness and adherence to safety protocols.\n * Provide expertise and participate in Safety and Health incident investigations as necessary to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.\n * Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal safety regulations and standards, including OSHA, EPA, and other relevant agencies. Together, we can learn from one another to drive progress and create a better future.\n\nYou Bring\n\n * Currently working on completion of a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, Fire Protection, Engineering, Business degree with focus on Safety and Health Administration or related field. \n * Candidates must be available to work full-time on-site beginning on June 1, 2026 to August 14, 2026.\n * Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulatory agencies.\n * Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. \n * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.\n\n\n\nThe hourly rate for this position is $23.00 - $26.00 per hour.
