Summer 2026 Program Management Intern, Solid Missle Systems

Join us for a hands-on, full-time summer internship experience at our Berthoud, CO location! 
Ursa Major’s Summer 2026 Internship Program offers students the opportunity to gain real-world experience in the aerospace and defense industry while contributing to meaningful, high-impact projects that support our mission and drive innovation in propulsion and advanced manufacturing. 

As an Program Management intern on the Solid Missile Systems team, you will work alongside the program and proposal managers to ensure program execution that is within budget, on schedule, and satisfies technical requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Document, improve and refine Program Management Processes such as risk management, schedule management, contract management, supply chain program management, and financial management.


• Act as a deputy program and/or proposal manager on one or multiple projects by owning or supporting:


• Internal project management of execution tasks


• Program Milestone Deliverable facilitation, finalization and submission


• Schedule and Budget Development for proposals


• Identifying and Managing Risk

Requirements: 

• Currently pursuing a bachelors degree 


• Strong attention to detail


• Ability to manage tasks independently while collaborating within a team environment. 


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

Program Details: 

• Location: On-site at our Berthoud, CO facility 


• Duration: Approximately 10–12 weeks 


• Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday 


• This is a paid internship 

Colorado law requires us to tell you the base compensation range of this role, which is $29.00/hour, determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
