Job Description - Summer 2026 Undergraduate Internship

Center for Disability & Elder Law  


Undergraduate Intern 


 


The Center for Disability & Elder Law (CDEL) hosts Undergraduate Interns each academic year.  For Summer 2026, the Undergraduate Intern will participate in a hybrid internship.  CDEL will provide complete training and supervision of the student.   


 


For Summer 2026, we currently anticipate that interns will work both in-office and remotely.  Opportunities to participate in CDEL community clinics, workshops, the guardianship help desk and the recorder’s division help desk may be available. Internship activities will be available depending on health and safety recommendations

The internship is unpaid.  CDEL works with schools offering externship credit and there may be funding options available for interns through schools or outside agencies.  CDEL will work with students and their advisors in setting up the internship. 


 


The student will gain experience in the following practice areas and develop the stated skills:

Estate planning 


Guardianship 


Housing 


Collections 


Financial Abuse  


Family Law 


Interviewing candidates for service 


Drafting simple correspondence and documents 


Document review
