The AIM Investment Operations Internship provides an opportunity to gain practical experience within Allianz Investment Management's Finance and Operations team. The intern will work alongside experienced professionals and support projects related to investment operations, asset manager oversight, financial reporting, data analysis, and process improvement.

Interns are treated as members of the team and have the opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to real business situations while developing technical and professional skills. The role also provides exposure to different areas of investment management, opportunities to build professional relationships, and access to training sessions, networking events, and intern programs.

What You Do

• Assist with invoice reviews by comparing supporting documentation and helping identify missing information.


• Support fee and expense analysis through data gathering, validation, and reconciliation activities.


• Help maintain spreadsheets, trackers, databases, and reporting tools used by the team.


• Assist in documenting business processes, workflows, and operating procedures.


• Support process improvement and automation initiatives using tools such as Excel, Power BI, and generative AI.


• Assist with the review and organization of asset manager reporting, fee, and expense information.


• Create reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate key information and trends.


• Collaborate with team members across Investment Management, Finance, Treasury, and other business areas.


• Participate in team meetings, training sessions, networking events, and professional development activities.

What You Bring

• Superior communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.


• Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting, finance, business, data analytics, economics, information systems, or a related field.


• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with attention to detail.


• Experience using Excel; exposure to Power BI or other data analysis and visualization tools is a plus.


• Interest in investment management, financial operations, accounting, or process improvement.


• Curiosity and a willingness to learn new technologies, including artificial intelligence and business intelligence tools.


• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.


• You must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring immigration sponsorship now or in the future. This includes holders of H-1B, H4, L-1, L-2, TN, OPT, CPT, and other nonimmigrant visas.

Job posting range $25/hr - $29/hr

Note the job posting range is exclusive of company benefits or other compensation. If you are hired, your final base salary will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, experience, skills, competencies, and/or education. In addition to those factors, we will also consider internal equity of our current employees. Please keep in mind that the range provided is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at or near the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth.
