Summer Camp Associate Teacher - 2025

Summer Camp @ Stevens Cooperative School is seeking Associate Teachers to be placed in our PreK 3s camp program through middle school grades depending on skills and experience.

The ideal candidates will be passionate about working with children, have developed communication skills, and are committed to teaching and learning. It is important for candidates to be open to receiving feedback from head teachers and camp administrators. Working well with others in a small community and instilling confidence in the program with parents is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work closely with head teachers to carry out curriculum and collaborate on all classroom duties.
• Support camp themed activities while being responsive to campers’ social and emotional needs.
• Interact with students to promote play, exploration, and learning.
• Communicate openly and professionally with colleagues and parents around student issues and needs.
• Maintain the health and safety of all campers, supervision on off-site trips to venues and playgrounds, actively particpating in swim activities, monitoring campers for illness to be communicated with camp administrators and nurses, etc.
• Attend weekly staff meetings.
• Participate in the life of the camp and be responsible for other duties as assigned by the camp administration.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

• 1 Staff orientation on May 17th, 8:30am - 4:00pm
• 8 weeks (June 16 - August 8, 2024, eight weeks of availability preferred but all not required)
