Summer Intern

Description

CorePlus Credit Union is now accepting applications for its summer internship program. 

The program began in 2006 and provides participants with real world work experience in a financial institution.

Qualified candidates will be placed according to their skillsets and transportation availability. Positions range from teller to assisting in various lending departments and participants will develop skills including but not limited to;

• Customer Service
• Cash handling 
• Personal finance
• Sales
• Time management
• Organization
• Conflict resolution 
• Basic lending 
• Accounting
• Quality Control 

Program Duration: Tentatively June 24th -August 9th 

Work Hours: 37.5 per week. Specific hours may vary, general branch hours are 9:00-4:30 with a half hour lunch break. 

Location: Assigned location will vary and can include the following;

Plainfield, Norwich, East Lyme, Waterford, Groton, Pawcatuck, Foxwoods Resort Casino

*Successful participants may be eligible for full or part-time employment with the Credit Union following completion of the program depending on job openings

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Good customer service skills are required.
• Ability to work with various technical platforms.
• Ability to work well on teams and independently.
