Job Description - Summer Intern- Member Network

When you’re the best, we’re the best. We instill an environment where employees feel engaged, satisfied and able to contribute their unique skills and talents while living and working as their authentic selves. We provide extensive opportunities for personal and professional development, building both employee competence and organizational capability to fuel exceptional performance through an inclusive environment both now and in the future.

Vizient Intern Program Overview:

This program is designed to foster a beneficial relationship and provide growth opportunities for Vizient, our employees, and collegiate students. Since 2000, our summer intern program has provided college undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students with practical experience that exposes them to multiple aspects of a career field and the healthcare industry. This full-time, paid intern program offers an opportunity to accelerate academic learning, apply classroom knowledge, and introduce students to a professional setting. Interns are assigned a supervisor to mentor/develop their business skills, as well as monitor their work experiences. Interns are integral members of the company’s team, setting goals, working toward deadlines, and actively participating in community service projects.

The program requires the intern to commit to 10 weeks of participation in all formal training, mentoring, on-the-job learning, and opportunities to interact with senior leaders.

  • Program starts June 1, 2026, and ends August 7, 2026
  • 40 hours per week with a pay rate of $24 per hour.

What we will do:

We provide the tools and training necessary to succeed, as well as provide intentional development opportunities such as:

  • Exposure to senior leadership to discuss the project, strategy, and milestones.
  • Network opportunities with cross-functional teams to learn about various areas within the organization.
  • Personalized strengths coaching.
  • Participate in company meetings and key culture events.
  • Value-added project management skills.
  • Intern-led community impact project and various team-building activities outside of work.

What you will do:

.

As part of Vizient’s Unified Commercial Platform (UCP) transition from Salesforce to Microsoft Dynamics 365, the Community 2.0 initiative is a high-impact project that will directly support 60,000 users across 130 groups led by 90 group managers.

The intern will play a critical role in advancing adoption and engagement by designing and implementing a Power BI–based adoption radar. This tool will capture early signals of user activity—such as login recency, profile completion, mobile app downloads, first posts, and first resource downloads—and empower group managers to drive adoption through targeted outreach and feedback loops.

            Responsibilities

  • Gather requirements from community managers, the Digital Collaboration & Intelligence team, marketing, and external benchmarks.
  • Define adoption signals and thresholds and document a simple scoring rubric.
  • Build dataflows in Power Automate/Power Query, create measures, and develop persona-based dashboards in Power BI.
  • Prototype AI-assisted nudge drafts using Copilot, ChatGPT, and Writer with approved templates.
  • Run A/B tests of nudge variants and track engagement results (opens, clicks, comments) within the dashboard.
  • Write a short playbook to ensure teams can continue running the program after the summer.
  • Provide biweekly progress updates and deliver a final readout with demo and recommendations.

What you will need:

  • Enrolled in a four-year accredited college, university, or graduate program in good academic standing.
  • Must have completed the sophomore year as an undergraduate before the start of the internship, or have recently completed your degree.
  • Basic understanding of working in a hybrid environment, workplace ethics, and effective communication.
  • Good organization and planning skills, and demonstrate effective project coordination, facilitation, and implementation based on past work or school experiences.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills and the ability to analyze and synthesize information for problem-solving are preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for interacting across the team and potentially with internal Vizient business partners, external members, and suppliers.

The Company is committed to equal employment opportunity to all employees and applicants without regard to race, religion, color, gender identity, ethnicity, age, national origin, sexual orientation, disability status, veteran status or any other category protected by applicable law.
