We are a leading provider of foreign language databases, books, and periodicals from Eastern Europe, East Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East. We serve all geographies and many market segments, including academic institutions, government organizations, corporations, public and federal libraries, and law firms.

We have three (3) companies. East View Information Services (EVIS) that focuses on publishing, East View Geospatial (EVG) that focuses on global mapping, and East View Map Link (EVML) that focuses on map and atlas sales to the public.

Position(s) Overview
Our summer intern program offers the opportunity to explore our landmark initiatives through projects with the Marketing, Digital Publishing, or Operations departments.

Together with peers and mentors, summer interns will assist with a variety of compelling entry-level projects. Summer interns with foreign language skills may work on identifying interesting materials for digitization. Those with Photoshop or design skills may contribute to our maps business. Others with a good eye for detail may fact check and copy edit database landing pages and product descriptions.

The ideal candidates will be detail-oriented, adaptable, and organized.

Scope of Responsibilities; not limited to:

Organizing and evaluating print and digital resources
Fact checking and proofreading country data
Researching library collections and areas of specialization

Candidate Skill Set

Detail-oriented and results-driven (resourceful and frugal with a balanced sense of urgency, a doer)
Active listening and skillful communication (High EQ – emotional intelligence, low ego. Clear, honest, and respectful communicator)

-Performance could lead to future employment down the road

Job Type: Part-time / summer only (up to 40 hours per week for some positions)

Pay: $11.20/hour - $17.00/hour
