Program Overview

Fitz’s Fish Ponds (FFP) is offering an exciting summer internship opportunity designed for enthusiastic, motivated individuals looking to gain real-world experience in event planning, aquatics, landscaping, marketing, and customer service. This hands-on internship will run from July 7, 2025, through August 29, 2025, culminating in full support of our flagship event, Koi Fest 2025, held on August 22-23.

Program Schedule

• Start Date: Monday, July 7, 2025
• End Date: Friday, August 29, 2025
  • *Potential to end earlier in the week
• Event: Koi Fest 2025 – August 22-23 Mandatory!
• Weekly Schedule: 3 days per week, 8am - 4pm 
  • *Week prior to Koi Fest required to be onsite Monday 08/18 - Saturday 08/23

Internship Tracks

Interns will work across various departments and may choose to focus on areas of interest including:

• Event Planning & Coordination
• Marketing & Social Media
• Retail & Customer Experience
• Aquatics & Koi Care
• Logistics & Vendor Relations
• Landscaping & Display Setup/Takedown

Key Responsibilities

• Provide support in creating and maintaining event timelines, checklists, and other planning documents
   
• Assist with event setup and breakdown for Koi Fest
   
• Support customer service and guest interaction on event days
   
• Coordinate vendor and team logistics
   
• Contribute to social media content and digital outreach
   
• Learn basic koi care and aquatics knowledge
   
• Engage in store merchandising and inventory support
   
• Represent FFP brand at public-facing events

Ideal Candidates

• College students (18+) interested in business, event planning, aquatics, landscaping, retail, marketing, or customer service
   
• Positive, reliable, and enthusiastic team players
   
• Able to commit to the full duration of the internship
   
• Passion for animals, outdoor work, and/or event environments
