Job Title:                     SAGE Center Summer Intern (TBS)

Supervisor:                  Think Big Space Coordinator

Regular Hours:            Full Time, 40 hours per week

Overall purpose and objective of this position:

The Think Big Space, that is housed in the SAGE Center, is a space where people are encouraged to THINK BIG. The STEAM Education environment is fueled by public education that is welcoming to all ages. The ideal candidate will engage and educate the public and be helpful and knowledgeable about the SAGE Center as well as educational practices. The candidate will gain practical experience in informal education, basic robotics instruction, and digital fabrication tools while helping ensure programs run smoothly and efficiently.

Scope of Work:

• Program Preparation and Support


• Student and Visitor Engagement


• Equipment and Robotics Kit Maintenance


• Curriculum and Material Preparation


• Administrative and Documentation Support


• Events and Offsite Programs


• Independent Activity Facilitation (after training)


• Other duties as assigned.

• Team player with an outgoing customer service-oriented personality


• Prepared to work in inclement weather when venturing outdoors (special events)


• Strong verbal and written communication


• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs and data entry experience
