Summer Library Internship - Youth Services Summer Intern

The Peters Township Public Library is seeking an individual for the position of Youth Services Summer Intern.

This position will:

·         Help plan and orchestrate summer reading programs and activities

·         Monitor the Youth Services reference desk

·         Assist patrons and families with reference questions

·         Shelve materials

·         Assist with marketing and social media for library events

·         Other activities as directed

Basic Requirements:

·         Applicants must be over 18

·         A background working with children is preferred

·         PA State Police criminal history check, PA Child Abuse clearances, FBI fingerprints

·         Candidates should be able to begin employment in May 2025 or earlier

·         Preference given to candidates with scheduling flexibility

Compensation and Scheduling:

·         $13.00 per hour

·         20-22 hours per week

·         At least two evenings per week and one Saturday per month

·         Internship runs through August 2025
