Job Summary & Responsibilities

Position Summary

The Summer Purchasing Intern will support the Purchasing/Procurement team with daily operations while gaining hands-on experience in supply chain, vendor coordination, and purchasing processes. This role is designed for a motivated student interested in procurement, supply chain management, business operations, or related fields.

Key Responsibilities

· Assisting in purchasing activities

· Champion the MRB process for BLM (Key project)

· Help with expediting material for tool builds.

· Help with confirmations

· Help with any other projects within purchasing department

Learning Objectives

· Gain exposure to end-to-end purchasing and procurement processes

· Understand supplier management and cost control practices

· Develop professional communication and organizational skills

· Learn how procurement supports overall business operations

Qualifications

Qualifications

· Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Operations, or a related field

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

· Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with ERP systems is a plus (Oracle)

· Ability to analyze basic data and maintain accurate records

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

· Coursework or interest in purchasing, supply chain, or operations

· Experience working with spreadsheets or basic reporting tools

· Customer service or administrative experience
