Under the supervision of the CPS Driver’s Education Site Directors and Monitors, student workers will assist the center’s Site Director with a variety of tasks, including student registration for the Driver’s Education Program. Student workers must be dependable, willing to learn driver’s education procedures, correctly file information alphabetically, and have the ability to answer and make phone calls.
This student employee position will be compensated for time worked on an hourly basis. The work schedule for this role will consist of an estimated 15-22 hours per week throughout the school year/summer, including weekdays after school between 3\:30 pm - 6\:30 pm and most Saturdays 7\:00 am - 1\:00 pm, for an anticipated period from July of 2025 through June of 2026.
The Student Worker will complete duties such as the following:
Assist with preparing the office for class registration, including making copies of registration documents (ex\: student driving record cards, parent contact information)
Assist students with registration for Driver’s Education classes, providing technical assistance and troubleshooting support, as needed
Schedule and/or modify students’ Range and Traffic sessions
Complete administrative tasks such as filing records, logging program payments, making copies of documents, answering/making phone calls, and taking messages
Accurately record student information into the computer system
Prepare permit applications for processing
Update monthly schedules and create calendar invitations, as necessary (ex\: permit pickup, scheduled traffic dates)
Assist with office tasks such as light cleaning, decorating, and/or updating the Driver’s Education bulletin boards
Other duties as assigned

Punctual, reliable, team player capable of maintaining professionalism in various situations
Organized and able to complete assigned duties on time
Proficient in the use of digital technology (ex\: basic computer skills - PC/Laptop/Chromebook)
In order to qualify for this student worker position, candidates must be over the age of 16 and actively enrolled for attendance as a CPS student during the 2025-2026 school year.
