Cognyte Analytics India is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our team as a Field Support Engineer. As an intern in this role, you will work closely with our experienced team of engineers to provide technical support and assistance to our clients in the computer science and telecom sectors. This internship will provide you with valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Your role: As a Cognyter you will: day to day

  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, software, and network infrastructure.
  • Provide on-site and remote technical support to clients, resolving issues and troubleshooting problems promptly.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to conduct system and network diagnostics and identify areas for improvement.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of network upgrades, installations, and migrations.
  • Document technical procedures, system configurations, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.
  • Perform regular system backups and ensure data integrity and security.
  • Assist in monitoring network performance, identifying bottlenecks, and proposing solutions.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in computer science and telecom technologies to contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members, providing clear and concise explanations of technical issues and solutions.

Your skills: for that you’ll need to have:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, EC, Telecommunications, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, and telecommunications principles.
  • Familiarity with operating systems (such as Windows, Linux) and network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting skills is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with clients professionally.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and environments.
  • Availability to work on-site or travel to client locations, if required.
