Reports to: The Director of The Commons & City Groups

Job Overview: Support Hill City Church objectives through the embodiment of our mission statement: Together we love God, love others and make disciples of Jesus Christ. In this role, you will work alongside the Director of The Commons and City Groups to assist in the coordination and execution of all ministry events and training, as well as meeting needs of the people in these ministry areas. 

Responsibilities and Duties:

Sunday Responsibilities: 

• Be present and ready to interact at the Connections Table after every gathering


• Be prepared to serve communion, assist with communion flow, or assist in the post gathering prayer


• Help set up before gatherings and clean up after


• Roles as assigned 

The Commons

• Attend the Commons sermon prep meetings and sermon run throughs 


• Assist in executing the Commons gathering, events, and all leadership meetings


• Oversee volunteer teams and onboarding process for The Commons


• Oversee the Commons budget 


• Own follow up process with YP New Guest Forms and actively pursue young professionals that come to the Commons

City Groups

• Assist in teaching prep for CG leadership training


• Attend several CG leader check ins w/ Director of CG’s


• Assist in executing City Group 101, 102 and all CG leader training sessions 


• Lead a City Group


• Own Planning Center to reflect the up to date number of CG’s, who is in each CG, and the time those CG meet

Resident Requirements: 

• Create and complete personalized development plan


• Semi-annual evaluation of 6-month plan


• Training, organizational development, and processes required of all staff & residents

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or applicable experience


• Track record in serving through the local church


• Highly collaborative and strong team-working skills
  


• Strong musical abilities and previous experience in leading worship


• Experience in running production elements a plus

Hill City's Residency Program Mission & Vision: 

Hill City’s Residency Program exists to train, equip and send leaders to serve the Church.

The hope for Hill City’s Residency Program is that adults who desire to explore vocational ministry will get the opportunity to do so within the local church. After their time in the Residency Program, residents will be better equipped to serve the Church - whether vocationally or through serving as a high capacity leader. The Residency Program will help each individual better understand what they are called to do and how God has gifted them for ministry. As they are sent out of the Residency Program, residents will have a clear vision of where they are going and will be equipped to be effective leaders in the Church for generations to come.
